Wills Preparation
We offer estate planning including advice about your best solutions for your circumstances to anyone in British Columbia. It is important to remember that laws vary in each different jurisdiction eg each Province let alone country has different laws eg BC can be different that Alberta than Arkansas, etc. It is a very expensive assumption to assume the online form is correct for where you live - and that the form is appropriate for your circumstances and wishes.
Doing anything involving laws without a lawyer. eg online software and paper "Will Kits", means you making legal decisions without legal advice. Like anything, Do-It-Yourself (DIY) means you are making big assumptions that you are doing it correctly and thus taking an expensive risk eg your home plumbing and electrical repairs can be very expensive to fix when they go wrong.
Your Last Will & Testament ("Will") is very important because it is the legally accepted form to provide your written wishes of what to do with both your body and your assets. But a Will only applies and has no effect until after your death - thus your estate planning must include documents effective before death, including a Power of Attorney for you to delegate proper legal authority for the times you cannot take care of yourself.
