What can you do if you do not like the terms of a Will?

What can you do if you do not like the terms of a Will?

There are two types of challenges to a Will = you might be concerned about the distribution eg who gets what, and or you might be concerned about how the estate is being administered eg the quality of job being done by the Executor.

If your concern is about distribution - who gets what - then your choice of challenge depends on your relationship to the deceased.  If you are a spouse or child then you have a right to apply to the court for a variation of the Will distribution.  If you are not immediate family then you need legal advice about your options.

If your concern is about the estate administration then you can apply for the job or just complain about how the job is being done.
