How do I solve a dispute without an expensive trial?

In general, there are only two methods to solve every dispute - either make a deal or ask the court to make a decision. Negotiation on our own is often difficult while professional problem solvers like mediators and lawyers are often successful. If no deal then the court can decide.

Most of us react to disputes with subjective emotions and inflame the issues. Since both dispute resolution methods, making an agreement and court arbitration, first require the objective determination of the relevant facts, the quickest and cheapest way to solve a dispute is to find the evidence to confirm all the facts you want to be believed.

Evidence is people and paper = witnesses and documents. Documents can be photos and texts and emails as well as formal reports by police, physicians and other credible observers or writers. In addition, an expert opinion will sometimes decide the issue eg the value of an asset or business, or best parenting plan or health plan, etc.

In addition to finding witnesses & documents to prove the facts, you also need legal advice so you can make a fair deal based on the law. Assumptions about which facts decide the issue, or what the law is, can hurt you and appeals are rarely successful if you assume wrong so it is always much cheaper to retain a lawyer even if only for DIY support and not a traditional retainer.

With decades of success, we can help with mediation, arbitration or just legal advice!
