Charitable Giving

Charitable Giving

We can advise on charitable giving for your estate planning.  Charities can be one or more of your beneficiaries, and your gift to a charity can be beneficial for both taxes and personally when you choose a charity you like.

Based on more than 30 years of experience, we recommend you organize all thoughts and documents in a 3-ring binder.  Print and organize all relevant documents but do not write nor mark them - use 3-hole lined paper to record all your thoughts and questions about your assets & debts and possible wishes.

Be careful to never write on any Will nor to write on any document that you are changing your Will  - use the lined paper to only make notes of possible changes then seek legal advice about the correct wording.  Do not be "Penny Wise, Pound Foolish" - you can create a very expensive legal problem by assuming anything about wording.
